Now it loses about 75 acres of tree cover a year. Minority neighborhoods have the lowest level of tree canopies and the highest level of gun violence. Is there a correlation?
Cuyahoga County among Ohio’s least healthy counties, new national health rankings say Cuyahoga County ranks 70th of Ohio’s 88 counties, scoring poorly on low birth rates, sexually transmitted infections and deaths due to injuries, among other factors. Cleveland was ranked America’s most equitably walkable city. Many residents disagree. This is according to a group called Smart Growth America who don’t sound very smart. They said that no matter how much money you make or what neighborhood you live in you can get your daily needs met with a 15 minute walk or transit ride. What do you think?

Abortion, ballot board lawsuit moving forward The Ohio constitution clearly says that the Ballot Board determines if an initiative is one constitutional amendment, which it did weeks ago. So why is the Ohio Supreme Court even considering hearing this case? This is not good news.
Not just Trump: See Ohio’s colorful history of campaign finance crimes The Householder conviction may not be the most sordid in recent Ohio history. Do you remember Jimmy Dimora, Bob Taft and Tom Noe? If not please read the article and decide for yourself who should be ranked #1 in this category.
Ohio has been cutting income taxes for almost 20 years. Are Ohioans better off? Yes and no. For those who make over $100, 000 – yes. And for those who make less – no. It is not a great economic indicator. Republicans claim Ohio has a vibrant growing economy. If so, then why is Ohio’s population rapidly declining?

Donald Trump indicted by Manhattan grand jury on more than 30 counts related to business fraud The great news we’ve been waiting years for! But now the circus begins. Will there be violence? Will DeSantis try to block extradition to New York? Will the jury be safe? And most importantly, is there enough evidence to convict him?
What comes after neoliberalism The good news is that progressives have just about won the battle of ideas. Reality has been a helpful ally, Events over the last three decades have shown that if the government gets out of the way, only the 1% prosper. The bad news is that changing things politically is going to be much more difficult
The Republican Plan to Make Voting Irrelevant Their playbook of gerrymandering, disenfranchising voters and eliminating local control by passing state preemption laws has been expanded. The GOP’s ‘ Parents Bill of Rights ‘ excludes millions of parents The bill is less about a bill of rights and more a blueprint for conservative bullying of teachers, students and school boards about race and gender. It’s actually a Racist and Homophobic Parents Bill of Rights. How about a Non – White and LGBTQ Parents Bill of Rights?

Four Cops in Tyree Nichols Case Barred From Policing. It’s About Time.
