CCPC July Membership Meeting: Endorsed Candidates Night Wednesday , July 13 from 6:30 to 8 pm. Speakers include 1) Cuyahoga County Democratic Party Chair Dave Brock 2) Cuyahoga County Councilwoman Cheryl Stephens, candidate for Ohio Lieutenant Governor. 3) Chris Ronayne, candidate for Cuyahoga County Executive 4) State Representative Kent Smith, candidate for Ohio Senate District 21 5) State Senator Nickie Antonio, running for re – election in District 23 6) State Representative Mike Skindell, running for re – election in District 13. 7) Mike Seals, candidate for Ohio House District 20 8) Diane Morgan, candidate for Democratic Party State Central Committee District 23. Matt Kuhns – Activist Memorial Thursday, August 4 from 6 to 8 pm @ Lakewood Women’s Club Pavilion, 14532 Lake Ave. Lakewood 44107. Please join us to celebrate the life and work of Matt Kuhns. Matt gave so much of his time. energy and immeasurable talent to causes dedicated to making the world a better place, and he made an enormous impact on our communities. We hope you will gather with us to pay tribute to our friend and fellow activist.

CCPC August Membership Meeting: ACLU of Ohio Speak Up Campaign Tuesday, August 23 from 6:30 to 8 pm. For our August meeting we’ll be partnering with ACLU of Ohio as a part of their Listening Campaign to find out what civil liberties issues you are most concerned about so that they can identify policy priorities. ACLU of Ohio Organizing Strategist Melekte Melaku will facilitate the event. After some open ended questions centering on civil rights and liberties we’ll head into some break out room to find out what you have to say! Saturday: Protest for Our Rights in Old Brooklyn
