Matt Kuhns – Activist Memorial Thursday, August 4 from 6 to 8 pm @ Lakewood Women’s Club Pavilion, 14532 Lake Ave. Lakewood 44107. Please join us to celebrate the life and work of Matt Kuhns. Matt gave so much of his time. energy and immeasurable talent to causes dedicated to making the world a better place, and he made an enormous impact on our communities. We hope you will gather with us to pay tribute to our friend and fellow activist.

CCPC August Membership Meeting: ACLU of Ohio Speak Up Campaign Tuesday, August 23 from 6:30 to 8 pm. For our August meeting we’ll be partnering with ACLU of Ohio as a part of their Listening Campaign to find out what civil liberties issues you are most concerned about so that they can identify policy priorities. ACLU of Ohio Organizing Strategist Melekte Melaku will facilitate the event. After some open ended questions centering on civil rights and liberties we’ll head into some break out room to find out what you have to say! Ohio House 16th District Candidates Forum

Ohio House District Candidates Forum Wednesday, July 27 from 7 to 8:30 pm. Both candidates in the August 2 Democratic Party Primary, District 16 State Representative Monique Smith and District 14 State Representative Bride Sweeney have agreed to participate. Format for the event will be opening statements from the candidates, followed by questions from the audience and then closing statements from the candidates.
