CCPC News and Events: May 5, 2022

Congratulations!

To the CCPC members who won their races for Cuyahoga County Democratic Party Central Committee on Tuesday. Next step is to find and support a progressive candidate for Party Chair. Stay tuned!

Congratulations also to CCPC endorsed candidates Nan Whaley for Governor of Ohio and Chris Ronayne for Cuyahoga County Executive who also won their primaries on Tuesday. Both now face Republicans and will need our help in the General Election.

And finally a special thanks to those of you who did any volunteer work for our progressive candidates. Particularly those of you who put a lot of hours in on the Nina Turner for Congress campaign. Please take a little time to rest and recharge and prepare for the numerous new challenges now facing us.

Supreme Court has voted to overturn abortion rights, draft opinion shows

Bans Off Our Bodies: Cleveland Day of Action Saturday, May 14 from 11 am to 1 pm @ Willard Park, corner of E. 9th St. and Lakeside Ave. Cleveland. If the U. S. Supreme Court overturns Roe v Wade this summer, twenty six states, including Ohio are poised to ban abortion. We will then have seen the complete destruction of abortion access. It has never been more important to physically show up for abortion rights! Rally with Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio on Saturday, May 14 as we prepare for what’s to come on Decision Day and show that we won’t stop fighting to preserve our right to an abortion and bodily autonomy!
